"Taz"

Taz was selected for our program based on genetics, plain and simple. Her sire, "Pilot" is out of the Jazztime lines, which are preferred genetics in our breeding program. Jazztime is no longer around as the owners have passed away, but their dogs were winning field trials, AND demonstrating natural point in the uplands. This was back in the 80's and 90's before pointing labs were a fad. The key is that the genetics were showing strong upland and retriever traits, making them an extremely versatile hunting dog.

The bottom side of Taz's pedigree is an exciting outcross to the Jazztime genetics as her mother is a daughter of the 2019 NFC "Foxx" (NFC FC AFC Bayou Teche Swing for the Fence)! Taz is going to turn 2 years of age in October of 2024, but she is already a key member of our preserve guide dog string and a nice pheasant hunting dog. Pending health clearances, we are very excited about what Taz can bring to our breeding program to produce great hunting and family companions, as well as potential hunt test dogs.

Taz is roughly 55lbs, a very gentle and sweet dog that loves to retrieve but has an "easy to manage" dimeanor. She is a great house dog and is at her best when she is with her people. She is not a wild child, and can even be a sensitive dog at times. Nonetheless, she is a very easy dog to work with and live with.
